it becomes harder and harder to resist his charm.
out my secret, we’ll forever be enemies.
This author hits the spot with this enemy to lovers story, it is fantastic!
Chloe Fieldgain is a journalist who has despised Kyle Lane since High School. Both residents of Blue Beech, Iowa, their mutual dislike for each other creates some very interesting moments.
The sexual chemistry between the lead characters is off the charts and the tension is so tight you could almost cut it with a knife. It’s a fine line between hate and love, mix in a hefty dose of lust and you have an amazingly combustible recipe.
Kyle does come across as extremely arrogant, and he certainly is, however, he is so much more. As the author builds up his character you get to see a depth to him that is honest, supportive and swoon-worthy. He is an easy character to like as is Chloe who has fought for everything she has achieved in her life. She is extremely ‘real’ and easy to relate to in the story. Now her sister, Claudia, is the exact opposite…great descriptions all round.
Talk about some great humour, the fun banter between characters livens the dialogue up and some funny descriptions leave you chuckling. There are some very serious issues in the book as well and these aren’t swept under the rug by any means, they are addressed very clearly and at times with quite a bit of angst, I thought my throat was going to close up for good with the emotional scenes towards the end.
A story I have no hesitation in recommending to everyone.

This is a story where opposites attract, small town boy meets big city star. The story is a little flat in spots I feel but overall a decent read.
Hudson, freshly back from deployment, accepts a temporary job as the bodyguard of a famous actress, Stella Mendes. Travelling from small town Blue Beech, Iowa, to Los Angeles is a bit stifling for him and then he meets Stella.
Hudson is a likeable character however a little set in his ways. He certainly has fabulous qualities like loyalty, respect, consideration of others-especially family, he’s supportive but on his terms at times. Stella is someone I clicked with straight away and the chemistry between these two lead characters is incendiary.
The story has some fun banter between characters and some very realistic moments like eating your way through a tub of ice cream when upset, we can all relate to that feeling.
I look forward to reading the next book.
